You can have your Culture Shock account and the data attached to it erased. Here is exactly how.
How to request deletion
Email info@cultureshock.wtf with the subject line Delete my data, and include:
- the email address you signed in with, and
- the WhatsApp number on your profile.
Send it from that same email address if you can — it saves us verifying you a second way. We confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days.
You do not need an account to ask. If you never registered but we hold your number because you contacted us or joined our Telegram channel, email the same address and say so.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — name, email, photograph, gender, phone, WhatsApp number, Instagram handle.
- Your Google sign-in link.
- Your event registrations, QR codes and check-in history.
- Your posts, comments, votes, photographs, stories and survey answers.
- Your push notification subscriptions.
- Your Telegram join record.
- Your artist profile and everything in it, if you have one.
What we keep, and why
Two things survive deletion, both stripped of anything identifying you:
- Payment records — amount, date and reference, retained for accounting. Your name is removed from them.
- Attendance counts — how many people came to a given night. These are totals, not people.
If a payment dispute or a safety matter is open on your account, we finish it before deleting.
Deletion is permanent
We cannot restore an account once it is gone. Registering again later starts you from nothing — no history, no referral credit, no past tickets.
